The scent is very faint, of burnt chocolate to me. You must be right up close to smell it though. I was sitting next to someone who is sensitive to smell while I had the raw butter all over me and they could not smell it. I have used this to make natural deodorant and body butter. I am sensitive to pore clogging in the armpits but I haven't had any trouble with this. Both blends I made were smooth. Most in the house like it, which is no small feat. One person found it to oily but that's hoe natural body butters are if you over do it, especially in my climate. A little goes a long way. It is very hot and humid here so I may be twinkling my butter recipe to help it absorb a bit faster. This is my favorite butter for general body recipes so far.
I, personally, have never used a butter that my skin liked as much as this. It's silky, long-lasting, and hasn't clogged a single pore. Right now in Phoenix, where I live, the humidity is almost non-existent (around 4%, as I write), and this butter has been a real savior. (I've been using it all by its lonesome.) Also, it arrived quickly and is well packaged. Thanks! I love the butter, and will use you folks again!
This butter smells just like amaretto. Super light and moisturizing and goes so well in any hair and skin care recipe!! Can't get over how yummy it smells and how great it feels. Love it.
I purchased this butter to formulate a skin rejuvenation/repair cream and OMGosh! It's AMAZING and I've been getting amazing results so far. I'm testing it out among my colleagues and the same response- "amazing"! I didn't know what to expect in terms of scent, but I'm pleasantly surprised. This is probably my best formula to date! I look forward to trying it in a new soap formula!
I ONLY purchase my butters from 3cayg and will continue to do so.
