I decided to try the powder thinking that by adding water to it that it would be just like the liquid black soap, but it's different in that unlike the liquid, you can customize the thickness and consistency, and even add your own fragrances and oils. First off, this isn't really a powder, I think it's better to call this Black Soap Crumbles because that's really what it is, their African black soap crumbled up in small and big chunks and pieces, which is easier and more convenient than cutting and chopping African black soap yourself. I used this to make a shampoo and it turned out so thick, rich, and creamy once it dissolved in boiling hot water, and the color was a mix between dark coffee and gravy, which was exactly the color I was hoping for. I didn't add any essential oils or carrier oils, I think it smells so earthy and lovely on its own. I wanted it to be really thick, so I used a lot of the crumbles. Foams beautifully, not drying, but then again all of 3Cay G's African black soaps are non-drying. I think I'd rather stick to this more than the liquid because they have it at a more discounted price for more product and I like the results better. As long as you don't go into this thinking that it's literally a powder, you can really get a lot of nice recipes out of this, which is high-quality and awesome. Love it.
